Human heart disease

Human  disease —

1. Coronary artery disease

Coronary artery disease is a condition caused due to the problem like atherosclerosis.
  • In this disease, coronary arteries are narrowed due to the deposition of fatty substances.
  • Due to this blood flow to the heart is reduced.
  • In coronary heart disease, the hear muscle is damaged because of the inadequate amount of blood due to the obstruction of its blood supply. The symptoms of CAD depend upon the degree of obstructions.
  • Symptoms are mid chest or angina pectoris.
  • In severe cases it results in hear attack know as myocardial infraction.

2. Heart failure

  • Heart failure is caused due to progressive weakening of the heart muscle. This result in the failure of the heart to pump the blood effectively.
  • Hypertension increases the afterload on the heart leading to significant enlargement of the heart.
  • This finally resulted in the heart failure.
  • Factor responsible for the heart failure are advanced age, malnutrition, chronic infection, toxins, sever anaemia or hyperthyroidism, etc.
  • Any problem leading to degeneration of hear muscle, may result in heart failure.

3.  Hypertension

  • In a normal healthy person the blood pressure value are 120mm Hg (systolic)  /80 mm Hg(diastolic).
